Let the gift of giving get a hold of your heart.
Welcome to the 54th episode of Giving Back Insights, my Thursday solo show where I talk about how our guests and their charities serve others, to explore actions each of can take to make a difference in people’s lives and to share. Today I’m discussing Giving is Living. Listen to today’s episode and don’t forget to give your feedback and valuable comment. Enjoy!
Key Takeaways:
Want to treat yourself to an awesome holiday event? Surround yourself with a bunch of fun, nutty people and go out and share some love.
It’s like Christmas for the Oak Luv crew: everyone was waiting at Knucklehead Santa’s house, getting ready to hit the road.
What a huge treat for me. Do you remember getting a bike for Christmas? I sure do. Orange with black pinstripes, banana seat and gooseneck handlebars. Awesome. Best Christmas ever as a kid.
Seeing the look on kids’ faces when they unwrapped their gifts.
Seeing the look on moms’ faces when their kids unwrapped their gifts.
It takes courage for these moms and dads to ask for help. Putting love before pride.
As I’m flipping through pictures of the day, I’m feeling the joy all over again and getting ready for next year. Drive by gifting, our Solid Few reindeer escorts, dancing, honking, waving, chaos, chilling with my buddy Mark, cocktails in the courtyard, handing out candy, gifts, and plenty of love. And a reminder that all tears come from love, not sadness.
Getting serenaded: beautiful twist of fate
Let the gift of giving get a hold of your heart.

Thank you to the Barrons, the Schmids, the Byrnes, the Mills and the Casamire families for stepping up in the last minute to make a very special Christmas for a whole bunch of kids.
I also want to give a special shout-out to Koda from Victoria’s Secret. I stopped with my son Carson to help a young lady in need outside their Union Square store and Koda came to check US out. She reminded the young lady that if she was cold or in trouble to come into the store. I appreciate her caring more than she knows. Human kindness abounds this holiday season and all year around.
Whatever your belief system celebrates, in the spirit of love and kindness I wish you a very Merry Christmas!
Love & Gratitude,
Rob
